However, the shop feature in the professional app is solely for purchasing tools needed for their work, ensuring efficient transactions in the technical and engineering fields. Both apps ensure seamless communication, secure payments, and user-friendly interfaces, providing a comprehensive solution for efficient hiring and seamless transactions.

I was hired to help clearly understand the current process and help innovate, frame design the digital solution's requirements and UX improvements for Polymarq’s two (2) platform.

Clients face challenges in finding technicians due to the lack of a reliable and efficient way to connect with qualified professionals. Traditional methods involve extensive research, multiple phone calls, and uncertainty about qualifications and reliability, leading to potential frustration, delays, and anxiety.

Goal

Improve how clients effortlessly find technicians for their specific needs without extensive research or numerous phone calls. Information on technician profiles, reviews, and rates empowers clients to make informed decisions based on their preferences and budget. The platform should streamline the process of locating and booking technicians, thereby relieving clients of burdensome coordination efforts.

INITIAL CONCEPT

Based on feedback from user interviews and surveys, we identified several challenges faced by both clients and technicians/engineers when connecting through traditional methods. Some key points included:

  1. Multiple phone calls, inquiries, and coordination efforts are involved in identifying potential candidates, contacting them individually, and assessing availability and suitability.


  2. Clients face difficulties in locating individuals with specialized skills or niche expertise, which can impede the hiring process and project completion.


  3. The lack of transparent information regarding industry rates and pricing standards makes it challenging for clients to gauge appropriate compensation, leading to potential overpayment or underpayment.

THE APROCH

We dedicated time to understanding our audience, focusing on individuals who frequently require the services of technicians or engineers. We identified their pain points and potential improvements in how they connect or find an engineer or technician.

IDEATION ( Designing )

We set aside a one-month sprint to brainstorm, research, and create solutions focused on our core goal. We meticulously transferred all of our innovative ideas onto a canvas, allowing us to construct a comprehensive architectural flow and visualize the potential of our ideas.

AI Mode

Recognizing that some users may have writing disabilities, we designed a special AI mode to assist these users, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility in the sign-up and login process.

We deconstructed the app into a sitemap to visually illustrate Polymarq's navigational structure and information architecture. This shows the actions and content for each page of both Apps

Payment Brainstorming

After determining how each screen should be interconnected, we initiated a comprehensive brainstorming session with key stakeholders. The objective of this session was to generate innovative ideas for optimizing the payment process between clients and engineers. Our aim was to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness, thereby increasing product revenue once launched in the market.

FINAL IMPLEMENTATION

We translated our brainstorming ideas into practical designs and implemented them into the platform. The final product provides an inclusive, user-friendly interface with a streamlined payment process, ensuring a seamless connection between clients and technicians/engineers. This approach not only meets user needs but also enhances product revenue and market success.
